When She Sees Herself Through God’s Eyes A 7-Day Journey from Comparison to Confidence in Christ
Day 2: Comparison Steals Joy
Read Galatians 6:4–5 together.
Today, think about comparison.
Flowers don’t compete with each other. A rose doesn’t look at a sunflower and wish it had bigger petals. The moon doesn’t compare itself to the sun and wish it could shine the same way.
They were created differently, and both have a purpose.
So are you.
God never asked you to become someone else.
He didn’t create you to spend your life measuring yourself against another girl’s face, body, clothes, life, or highlight reel.
Comparison will have you staring so hard at what someone else has that you miss what God has already placed in you.
Your challenge today:
Stay off social media for one day.
Every time you would normally scroll, stop and spend those minutes reading Scripture instead.
You don’t have to read for an hour. Just open God’s Word.
Pay attention to what happens when you stop filling your mind with everyone else’s lives and start filling it with God’s truth.
And ask yourself:
What changes in the way I see myself when I stop looking at everyone else?
Let yourself wrestle with that, too.
