Day 4: What Does God Value?

Read 1 Samuel 16:7 together.

“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

The world will teach you to pay attention to what people can see.

How you look.
What you wear.
How much you weigh.
How many likes you get.
How you compare to the girl standing next to you.

But God looks deeper.

He looks at your heart.

So today, instead of asking:

“Am I pretty enough?”

Ask:

“Am I becoming more like Jesus?”

Am I becoming more loving?
More kind?
More patient?
More forgiving?
More willing to serve?
More concerned about others?
More willing to follow God even when it’s hard?

That question changes everything.

Because your goal was never supposed to be becoming the prettiest version of yourself.

Your goal is becoming more like Jesus.

And unlike the mirror, that is something worth spending your life looking at.
